Thank you for taking time to find out information about our church family. We understand that visiting a church can sometimes be intimidating or overwhelming. We pray that these questions will help you not only know what to expect but also help you have a wonderful time of worship with us. Do you have a question that isn't answered below? Where do I park?
We currently have construction under way, so for safety concerns we ask that you use the upper entrance of the church directly across from the Pine Grove Fire Department for parking.
What do i do when i get there?
We're delighted to have you join us for worship! From the moment you arrive, our goal is to help you feel at home. After parking, simply head to the sanctuary, where one of our friendly greeters will be ready to welcome you and assist with any questions you may have.
If you have children ages 3 and under, our greeters will be happy to provide information about our nursery. And if you're joining us at 9:00 AM for Sunday School, they can help you find a class that's a great fit for you and your family. What time should i arrive?
We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before the service starts. This gives you plenty of time to park, and find a seat without feeling rushed.
What About My Children?
If you have children ages 3 and under, our greeters will be happy to provide information about our nursery.
Where is the Church located?
Pine Grove Baptist Church is located at 836 Pine Grove Road, Lugoff, SC 29078, approximately 4 miles down Pine Grove Road after turning off Hwy 34, directly across from the Pine Grove Fire Department. We’d love to welcome you!

What should i wear?
Come as you are! We care much more about you being here than what you wear. Most of our community—including our leadership team—dresses casually in jeans, t-shirts, or khakis. Whether you prefer casual clothes or want to dress up, you will fit right in.
Will i be singled out?
Absolutely not. We will never make you stand up, call you out, or force you to wear a visitor badge. You can remain completely anonymous, blend into the crowd, and engage at your own comfort level.
WHAT is the service like?
Our worship services typically last 60–75 minutes and are designed to be meaningful, engaging, and welcoming. We begin with a time of worship through music, prayer, a warm welcome, and church announcements, followed by an opportunity to give. Then, our pastor shares a practical, Bible-based message that is relevant to everyday life. We conclude the service with a final song and an invitation to respond to what God is doing in your heart.
am i expected to give money?
No. Financial giving is for our regular attendees who consider this church their home. As our guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give. We are just glad you chose to spend your morning with us.
can i participate in communion?
We celebrate communion on the fifth Sunday of the month. We practice "open communion," meaning anyone who is a follower of Jesus Christ is welcome to participate, regardless of church membership. If you do not wish to participate, simply pass the tray along; no one will judge you.
What if I’m not sure what I believe?
You are welcome here. This is a safe place to ask tough questions, process doubts, and explore faith at your own pace. You do not need to have your life or your beliefs completely figured out to sit with us.
